I was born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1969 and grew up in the Detroit suburb of West Bloomfield, a fat and self-conscious kid, not terribly successful with the ladies. In High School I was the proverbial nice guy who managed to gain their trust, but always seemed to end up in the “friendzone”. After high school, I moved to Tucson, Arizona, where I graduated with honors from the University of Arizona with a bachelor's degree in Finance. During my college days, I dated many women and went through numerous relationships, some healthy and others not terribly so. Years later, I was still riding the relationship rollercoaster of life, and realized that I still had a lot to learn about women, relationships, dating, and love. My quest for a deeper understanding of women and their needs was never motivated by a desire to start up a date mentoring business. I just wanted to understand women, myself, and the dating process better (to become more successful in the dating game, of course!) without being phony, without compromising my own values, and without surfing outside my own psychological comfort zone.
It took me two years of study and research. I learned a lot, and it utterly changed my life. I have no trouble dating just about any woman I want to now — and I’m certainly not the richest, best-looking, or most intelligent guy on the planet. I established The Date Mentor™ so that I could share the knowledge and experience I’ve gained to help other guys overcome the same problems I faced, struggled with, and (finally) conquered.
